Method 1: Run System File Checker (SFC)
Windows has a built-in tool to repair corrupted system files that might be affecting SDK utilities.
- Press the Windows Key, type
cmd. - Right-click Command Prompt and select Run as administrator.
- Type
sfc /scannowand press Enter. - Restart your computer after the scan finishes.
Method 2: Repair Visual Studio or the .NET SDK
If the tool is broken due to a corrupted IDE installation, use the local installer cache to repair it.
- Open the Control Panel and navigate to Programs and Features.
- Find Microsoft Visual Studio or your .NET Framework SDK in the list.
- Click Change or Modify.
