1. Kill the Process and Restart

If the application is frozen or glitched, force it to close.

Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc to open Task Manager.
Find far.exe or Far Manager in the list.
Right-click it and select End task.
Relaunch the application.

2. Run System File Checker (SFC)

If far.exe is throwing errors because of corrupted Windows system dependencies, use the built-in repair tool.

Press the Windows Key, type cmd, right-click Command Prompt, and select Run as administrator.
Type sfc /scannow and press Enter.
Wait for the scan to finish and restart your computer.

3. Clear Far Manager Configuration (Safe Mode)
